Yes for Homes! Bonds will help thousands of families have the opportunity for safe secure homes - a place to nurture their family, pursue their dreams and build a stronger Austin.

Our Neighbors Need a Helping Hand
Austin has the highest housing costs in Texas. Over 54,000 seniors on fixed incomes, people with disabilities, and lower income working families with children are paying beyond their means for a home. More than 4,000 Austin school children lack a permanent home.

Invest for Family Success
Yes for Homes! bonds will fund proven local initiatives including housing assistance for seniors and people with disabilities, safe homes for victims of domestic violence, affordable rental homes for working families, and home rehabilitation programs to help long time residents stay in their homes.

Keeping Austin Affordable
Benefits Us All

The $55 million city housing bonds will create jobs, expand the tax base, and leverage additional investment. For less than $5 a year on average, you can help thousands of families who qualify have the opportunity for a safe, secure home. Prop. 5 will be accountable to the public, respect community plans, and increase neighborhood stability.
